Alumni Update Challenge
The alumni (previous members and friends of Tokyo Union Church) often hold special memories of their time in Tokyo and especially of TUC. Worshipping and fellowshipping with people from many cultures is truly a unique experience. To see God’s love bringing people together gives us all a foretaste of the feast to come.
Because of the “Exodus” of families who left after the March 11, 2011 earthquake, tsunami and nuclear disaster, the congregation is in need of prayer support and financial support.
In prayer support:
- Please pray as we continue to support three sister churches in the affected area.
- Please pray for new families and individuals to come to Tokyo and join TUC.
- Please pray for the search for a new senior pastor.
- Please pray the leadership of TUC, its elders and staff, as we continue to grow, especially with many new Christians.
In financial support, we have a faith budget where we are hoping for alumni support of $40,000. We have already received nearly $25,900 towards this 2012 alumni goal. We invite you, TUC alumni, to help us reach this goal as we continue on Omotesando to preach the Good News of Jesus, transform the lives of many people through His grace, physically feed the homeless daily, and teach our children a message they will hear nowhere else.
