Babel, Pentecost and the Cosmopolis

On Pentecost Sunday, Pastor Hector speaks from Acts 2:1-21 and said that when the Holy Spirit descended upon the disciples, it gave them the gift of tongues. He said that rather than thinking of it as a solution to Babel, we should think of Babel as a divine gift of diversity. The Holy Spirit is among our diverse family of God. Pastor Hector said, “The Kingdom of God is the city of the world where everyone is worshipping Him in their own language.” “God has spoken to us. He has shown us that we are His cosmopolis here on earth.”
