God and Parenting

Pastor Hector speaks from Ephesians 1:3-14 and Mark 6:14-29. He brought to our attention that the death of John the Baptist is centered around Herod’s family and bad parenting. He said that the word parenting implies a higher calling, one that is difficult to pursue because it involves crafting a person. He said that all of us have been hurt in one way or another by our parents, but we can find healing in God, our divine parent. He said: “There is but one perfect parent and that is God, who is always walking beside us.” Note the prayer of illumination and the scripture reading by Jean Pengosro who was attending service for the last time at TUC before her relocation to the Philippines.
