PASTORAL INVESTIGATIONS

PASTORAL INVESTIGATIONS

Pastoral Investigations is a weekly study that takes place on Zoom every Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Héctor. The study will wrestle with classic and modern texts from the Christian tradition. You are invited and welcomed to eat your lunch and join the study during your break. Each meeting will spend 20 minutes reading the texts and 40 minutes discussing the material. All reading materials will be provided and no preparation required prior to each meeting.

Through the stories of these women, discover how gender can inform your reading as you explore how these stories relate to your own faith journey. Learn more here.

  • Most people in the world have heard of Christmas––the lights, the shopping, the Santa, and many other seasonal activities. We will investigate the Christian heart of Christmas––that God became a human on this day. Learn more here.

  • Most Christians have a view on the importance of the Bible. We will investigate how the Bible was made using The Historical-Critical Method. This method is taught in most Seminaries around the world. The Historical-Critical Method is not the only method to interpret scripture––many systematized frameworks can be drawn upon.
